Another rainy day in Sydney! :-p this is definitely not Vegas rain we r dealing with….. It is comparable to the monsoon encountered in Santa Barbara a couple of months ago…. And it lasts all day. Our umbrellas are officially battered into non usable prices of wire and nylon… It appears that everyone else on the street has the same problem. :-) I was commenting to tiff today that it is amazing that we speak the same language as the people around us, yet comprehension of what we, and they, are saying is limited. So far having a great time despite constantly being wet. On our way to the gold coast today!
It’s 9am on a dreary rainy day in Sydney, but hey we r in SYDNEY! Yay! Luckily we prepared ourselves for the weather and brought our umbrella, warm clothes, and beanies. Apparently beig a British colony for some time, Australians love tea….. Haha well as Americans we live coffee. After figuring out how to order a “filtered” coffee we find ourselves at an American company drinking in a little home. Don’t worry we tried and Australian brew, which apparently is cappucino minus the milk….. Ewwww. Plus mcdonalds has free wifi! Better pics to com I promise.hope all is well! Miss u!
We made it to Sydney! Tiff didn’t get us stopped in customs with her crazy lotion! I was a little worried after watching “lockdown abroad” for the past month! A little show that highlights people smuggling drugs abroad. Eeek! Currently we r hanging out and getting our bearings! It is 1030am Sunday morning! Wow!
Travel visa……
Upon arriving at lax and being herded like cattle into a small room tiff and I were asked if we had applied for a travel visa to AUS…… after we stated in chorus a resounding no! we were informed that we had to go back out thru security to ticketing and apply. This process went as fast as can be expected, however inconvenient, and now we r sitting at the gate….. Awaiting our fun :-) 15 hour flight. Let this be a lesson…… Read all ur emails hahaha
